Normativity, Meaning and Philosophy: a newly published book by NCCR member Hans-Johann Glock
The book is composed of a collection of essays on Wittgenstein originally published between 1996 and 2019, with a new introduction.
It brings out the abiding relevance of Wittgenstein’s reflections to contemporary debates on the importance of normativity, the foundations of meaning and necessity, the nature of concepts, the possibility of animal thought and the proper method of philosophy.
Part II (Thoughts and Concepts) and part III (Meaning and Philosophy) are especially linked to Dr. Glock’s research within the NCCR Evolving Language.
