Inaugural lesson for Prof. Nina Kazanina
On Thursday December 5, Nina Kazanina, professor in the Department of Basic Neuroscience (UNIGE) and co-director of the NCCR Evolving Language, presented her work to the public at her inaugural lecture, at the Centre Médical Universitaire de Genève.
Titled “Le cerveau qui parle : comprendre la base neuronale du langage” (“The speaking brain: understanding the neural basis of language”), the lecture was conducted in French and cleverly guided listeners through the structures of language in the brain. In connection with the position in the Faculty of Medicine, she expressed her desire to direct some of her research towards clinical applications.
After a few questions from fellow researchers and clinicians, the session concluded with an aperitif.
