Innovation Grants are a funding instrument of the NCCR Evolving Language that are for research projects that go above and beyond what is already planned in the Phase 2 Proposal in the range of CHF 50,000. Higher amounts will need to be forcefully justified.
Eligibility
Applications are open to groups of two or more NCCR members from at least 2 disciplines, and sponsored by at least one PI who will assume reporting and financial responsibility. External members’ participation in the Innovation grant is allowed.
Conditions
Applications should include, in a single PDF of no more than 2 pages, a concise description of the project, how it relates to and enhances the NCCR’s overall goals, a timeline with deliverables and, on a third page, an itemized budget.
Innovation grants can be spent on any items eligible according to the NCCR Budget Guidelines until the end of Phase 2.

Please note: All PIs listed in the grant application will receive an email and will have to confirm their support for the application. If they fail to do so, the application will not be considered admissible.
