The Knowledge and Technology Transfer office (KTTo) supports and encourages the development of innovative projects by NCCR Evolving Language researchers. The KTTo is the main point of contact for external partners (public or private) and tech transfer offices from universities. It also helps you to protect, develop and market the results of your research.

Are you working on an innovative project and wondering whether you can patent it? The KTTo will coordinate and cover the costs of an Assisted Patent Search by the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.

Have you developed an innovative project that would be benificial to the NCCR Evolving Language community? The KKTo will help you organize a workshop to share your knowledge and technologies.

Intellectual Property

In the process of developing an innovative project, it is important to ensure that the results of your research cannot be used or disclosed by third parties without your agreement. This is known as Intellectual Property (IP) protection. IP can be protected by an Non-Disclosure Agreement (e.g. when presenting at a conference, discussing with an external partner), or by a Patent through an Invention Disclosure (e.g. when developing a new technology or material).

Collaboration

Collaborating with external partners (public or private) can be an asset when developing an innovative project or expanding your network. The KTTo will help you if you would like to find an external partner, discuss existing and future collaborations, or if you would like to give presentations at a company event (e.g. workshop, consulting).

Invention Disclosure

An Invention Disclosure is a confidential form that the tech transfer office of your university will ask you to fill in to evaluate the innovation and patent potential of your project.
