2026 Society for the Neurobiology of Language meeting and satellite event
Evolutionary perspetives on language and cognition at SNL
From September 29 to October 2, Geneva will host the 2026 meeting of the Society for the Neurobiology of Language! Co-organised by the NCCR Evolving Language, this year’s edition welcomes a panel on evolutionary perspectives on language and cognition. This includes keynotes by John O’Keefe (UCL), Yanchao Bi (Peking U), and Roy Hamilton (UPenn), two symposia, slide and poster sessions, award talks and much more.
A moderated panel discussion on “The neural architecture for language and other cognitive domains: an evolutionary perspective” will give space for a creative and inspiring interaction between diverse lines of research.
More information and the program can be found here. Talks will be recorded and made available to members after the meeting.
Satellite events
On September 29, satellite events organized by NCCR early career researchers will take place in Campus Biotech, including a workshop organized by the Small World of Words project (their program can be found here) and a CSH alumni reunion.
