The secret of prehistoric mothers – an ARTE documentary with NCCR researcher Judith Burkart
What was motherhood like in prehistoric times? Most recent archaeological findings prove that the cooperative support of mothers within a community became a successful reproductive strategy. A documentary from ARTE, published on the 13th of April and with NCCR anthropologist Judith Burkart, dives into this fascinating subject. Judith works with marmoset, a species of monkey known for their hyper-social skills, and from which we can learn a lot about the evolution of our relationships.
