The NCCR does in principle NOT cover equipment costs. Such costs have to be covered by the home institutions.
Please read the guidelines (for additional information als othe the SNSF Funding regulations and the UZH expense regulations) carefully to verify under which circumstances the NCCR may finance research equipment costs. However, the SNSF can in the context of the annual audit refuse to cover the costs, in which case the costs must be covered retroactively by the lab, the institute, the department or the faculty.
We assume no liability and only reject those applications that clearly do not comply with the guidelines or if the justification does not provide sufficient details. The remaining applications will only be accepted with reservations and no definitive coverage of costs will be confirmed.
The final decision lies with the SNSF audit.
